Louis Foreman is a prolific inventor, product developer, innovation enthusiast & small business entrepreneur. He founded his first company in his fraternity room while a sophomore in college. In the past 30 years, Louis has created nine successful startups & orchestrated the creation of more than 20 others.
You may know of him from the Emmy award winning PBS show that he created Everyday Edisons www.everydayedisons.com that launched several inventors careers or as the publisher of Inventors Digest www.inventorsdigest.com which is an incredible source of inspiration, information and instruction. www.EdisonNation.com and www.EdisonNationMedical.com run product hunts for major corporations as well as all sorts of licensing opportunities. While www.enventyspartners.com is an integrated product development and crowdfunding firm.
His book, The Independent Inventor’s Handbook has been a staple of education since its’ publication in 2009.
Louis currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the James Dyson Foundation, the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), New Dominion Bank and the Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation (IPOEF).
Serving seven years on the Patent Public Advisory Committee (PPAC) of the US Patent and Trademark Office where among other things he developed an awareness of the issues independent inventors have as well as proposing solutions for the same. You can learn more about him here .
So I think he may know a little bit about bringing a product to market.
I first heard him speak at a USPTO Independent Inventors Conference shortly after man discovered fire or at least it seems that long ago. I have seen him several times since and have always found him extremely interesting. No matter where you are in the journey from a rank beginner to a seasoned professional you will learn a lot in a short period of time from him.
Louis will be giving his presentation at 1:00 pm as part of our program for our annual Better Than FREE Inventors EXPO on 2/9/19 at the Main Branch of the Broward County Library 100 S. Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301.
