The USPTO tells us that 97 % of all issued patents never make back the money spent on their development. So I wanted to know who that successful 3% WAS. They are mostly large companies.
To learn how they achieved this success I joined the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA). I went to their conferences to learned how they do it and it is Completely different from the way independent inventors work. This cost me a small fortune but it was well worth every penny.
I could go on for hours on this subject but the most important issue is what they call the VOC which means Voice Of the Customer or Consumer. If you don’t Know what the customer needs or wants how in the H….eck can you develop a product to fill it?
The Numbers are like the gods of Olympus to large companies. If you want to license your invention to them, you Will need to find all the numbers that will impress them. But How?
