DIY Licensing
Dennis and Mary Lou Green gave us a spectacular, eye-opening meeting by Skype back in February 2017 on how they got their products into major retailers. So recently when I ran into them again at another event, I had to ask them if they were interested in giving us another presentation. Obviously they agreed.
This is one of the most energetic couples I have ever known. Dennis sent me a list of topics that they plan to cover and I’ve got to say, it is as ambitious as their general lifestyle. The secret of their success is that they work together in a way that compliments their strengths.
The world of licensing is fraught with pitfalls. Things you would never even consider. I personally know several inventors who signed a deal for 2 or 3 years after which the licensee knocked off the product and the inventor couldn’t do anything about it. This happens a lot in the DRTV business.
