You should check us out.
We are the Inventors Society of South Florida. We are a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the independent inventor through the use of Education, Motivation, and Collaborative Support.
We won’t do the work for you. However, we will give you the tools to Get The Job Done!
To that end, we provide a wealth of information to our members and the general public regarding all aspects of the invention process through our newsletters, website, speakers, etc. However, the ISSF does not endorse, suggest, or recommend that any of this information may, or should be, relied upon without the user’s own independent investigation and evaluation.
Our new meeting place is at the James A Rutherford Community Center at Patch Reef Park 2000 West Yamato Road which is ¼ mile west of Military Trail in Boca Raton, FL 33431. It is a lovely venue but being a government run organization they are very strict about fire codes. So everyone who wants to attend a meeting MUST register using the URL on the speaker flyer or by going to our EventBright page here.
If you are not registered and all the tickets are taken, you will be turned away at the door. We meet the second Saturday of every month, unless interrupted by a holiday, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
To get to the Community Center, there is a traffic light at the entrance to the park on Yamato Road. Go south into the park. You will see the parking lot on your right and a large building at the south end as you turn into the parking lot. That’s NOT IT ! There is a covered walk way to the west of that building that leads to the community center directly behind it. Hope to see you there.

SPEAKER OF THE MONTH
Speaker For The April 13th Meeting
Harnessing Your Creativity
Ron Sargent is undoubtedly a master of harnessing creativity. Just take a brief look at his background. Just out of university, working for GM, he developed one of the first mechanical cruise controls for cars along with doing extensive developmental work on fuel pumps, air ride components as well as a vacuum window lift system.
In 1963 he co-founded with his father and brother the Thetford® Corporation which focused on sanitary equipment for recreational vehicles. As the president of this company for the first 11 years, he guided its’ growth from a $2400.00 investment to $18,000,000.00 in annual sales. It was during this time that he created the camping PortaPotti® for which my wife and I will be eternally grateful but that is another story. Suffice to say, we never left home for the woods without it.
He went on to have a stellar career that included the Polaris pool cleaner, 9 fountains in Epcot Center and a whole lot more which you can read about under the profile tab at http://www.ideationinsitute.com , his latest venture. There he and his son do all sorts of development for large companies as well as individuals like us.
Ron also wrote a book with Steve Cuden called, “15 Minutes For The Mouse (Your Guide To High Performance Creative Thinking) that became the model for a course he developed and gave to Fortune 500 companies for a small fortune. This is what he will be sharing with us.
I have personally read the book and found it enlightening. As inventors we are often told or believe that we have too much creativity for our own good. However, you will be surprised to learn that there are times we should give in to our wildest fantasies to raise the bar of our inventions to the next level to achieve disruptiveness and Profits!
Some of the most impressive inventions have come from individuals who dared to dream and worked very hard to make that dream a reality. It is time to stop dreaming and get to work. This is a great way to take that first step.
You must register here to attend http://bit.ly/2EkgwVG
Then make sure you come to the James A Rutherford Community Center at Patch Reef Park 2000 West Yamato Road which is ¼ mile west of Military Trail in Boca Raton FL 33431 at 1:00 pm on Saturday 4/13/19 to meet the Mouse.
Doors open at 12:30 pm.
